Little did H. R. Nicholson, owner of H.R. Nicholson Co., realize at the 1937 National Bottlers Convention in Atlantic City, New Jersey that his newly developed cola flavor was about to become a “Taste Sensation” among the trade show attendees. People flocked to the Nichol Kola display for a sample drink – Placed beside other flavors, including some of the great colas of that time, it was overwhelmingly the taste of choice.

Orders for this new cola soon spread throughout the U.S. and into Canada enjoying several decades of success and staying a cola contender well into the early 1960s.
